Philippine Airlines Unveils a More Rewarding Mabuhay Miles Program

Flag carrier Philippine Airlines unveiled a revitalized Mabuhay Miles Program, in keeping with the company's goal to provide its valued clientele greater mileage rewards, expanded program-partner options, more flexibility in earning and redeeming miles, additional travel perks and ancillary offerings.

The enhanced loyalty program now offers greater seat availability per flight for rewards redemption which will provide members the chance to convert miles to seats even on peak season.

More partnerships are slated to be forged with establishments representing the five pillars of the Mabuhay Miles Program – fly, shop, dine, drive and unwind. At present, the frequent flyer program’s industry program partners include: financial institutions, hotels, telecommunication firms, foreign airlines, retailers and other travel-related companies.

Soon-to-be-introduced service innovations are the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card and the myPALshop. The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is the only multi-currency prepaid card in the market that allows a member to earn and redeem miles for every purchase made with partner-merchants while the myPALshop will be PAL’s online store where one can shop (hotel deals, car rentals, tours and recreation packages, health, fashion, beauty and electronic items) and earn miles.

"We envision the Mabuhay Miles Program to be one of the key drivers in making Philippine Airlines the 'airline of choice'. We thank our loyal patrons for their all-out support through the years. As part of the PAL family, we shall endeavor to offer them what they deserve - a more rewarding mileage and rewards program," stressed PAL President Jaime J. Bautista.

“Mabuhay Miles is more than just a frequent flyer program. It has become a symbol of PAL’s commitment to delight loyal customers by providing perks and privileges that are at par and even beyond its competitors.” stressed PAL VP for Ancillary Business Group Kevin Hartigan – Go.

PAL thanked its sponsors for the relaunch of its Mabuhay Miles program, namely: Century Park Hotel, City of Dreams, Bluewater Maribago, Bluewater Sumilon, Bluewater Panglao, Diamond Hotel, Dusit Thani Hotel Manila, Henann Resorts Bohol, Marco Polo Ortigas Manila, Marco Polo Cebu, Marco Polo Davao, Pan Pacific Hotel Manila, Pico Sands Hotel, Taal Vista Hotel, Asia Brewery Incorporated, Camus Philippines, Futuretrade, Hertz Car Rental, Premier Wines & Spirits and Power MAC Center.
