Quezon Gov't Sets “Niyogyugan Festival” Agri-Tourism Expo

The provincial government of Quezon is set to hold the “Niyogyugan Festival,” an agri-tourism exposition on August 12-19, as part of the week-long activities in line with the Quezon Day celebration on August 19.

Provincial tourism officer Alberto “June” Bay said the festival aims to promote agriculture and tourism in the province of Quezon.

In preparation, Bay said a meeting with the municipal tourism officers was held recently to finalize the criteria and guidelines for the festival and grand parade float competition, dance competition, and festival queen competition.

Other highlights of Quezon Day celebration include a state of the province address of Quezon governor David Suarez at Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hall on August 12; ribbon cutting and opening of the agri-tourism trade at Perez Park; 3rd Quezon artists’ gallery exhibit at Techno hub lobby, 3rd floor, Pacific Mall.



An ‘Araw ng Pamilyang Magsasaka" at Quezon Convention Center and 3rd Quezon Coco Jam (first night) at Perez Park will be held on August 13.

On August 14, among the activities are : "Niyogyugan" festival and grand parade float competition, dance competition and festival queen competition at Quezon Convention Center. Meanwhile, a day care workers day will be held on August 15 at Quezon convention center.

Awarding of Quezon Medalya ng Karangalan to outstanding Quezonians will also be held at Quezon Convention Center on August 16.

Other activities slated from August 17-19 are annual medical and dental mission and blood letting at Quezon provincial jail and Quezon Medical Center, Lucena City; awarding ceremonies of the agri-tourism trade fair ENRO awards at Perez Park, Lucena City and thanksgiving mass and floral offering at Manuel L.
