The newest hotel in Cebu City - San Remigio Pensionne Suites

San Remigio Beach Club (SRBC), a sports and leisure beach resort in northern Cebu, has expanded its facilities to a hotel in Cebu City to take advantage of the province’s growing tourism market.

SRBC recently opened the San Remigio Pensionne Suites located on Holy Name St., Mabolo, Cebu City.

SRBC general manager Marc Anthony Ynoc said the hotel is part of the company’s expansion in the hospitality industry to cater to the needs of the meetings, incentives, conventions and exhibitions (Mice) market.

Ynoc said Cebu has become the primary tourist attraction over the past few years.

The tourism industry of Cebu has boomed and there is also a large demand for convention halls, Ynoc said.

He said the company opened a hotel in the city because it wanted to bring the same cuisine and good customer service they provide in their resort to the city.

SRBC is a 7.3-hectare property in Baybay, Tambongon in the town of San Remigio in northern Cebu.

It has a 400-meter beachfront and various recreational facilities.

Ynoc said San Remigio Pensionne Suites has 11 rooms equipped with complete amenities such as cable TVs and Wi-Fi connection.

The hotel also has a city view restaurant, a videoke room that can accommodate up to 11 persons and a function hall that can accommodate 60 persons.

The hotel has four room types–superior, deluxe, family and dormitory rooms–with rates ranging from P950 to P3,200.

Ynoc said that aside from tapping the conference market, the company also hopes to tap backpackers, professionals and local and foreign students.

Ynoc said the company envisions to becoming a chain of hotels and resorts to further cater to international bookings.

"It is like hitting two birds at the same time as we hope to provide good customers service not just in the resorts but also in the hotel we have," he said. (PNA)
