Cebu Pacific adds Flights to Hong Kong, Boracay, Davao, Iloilo, Cebu this Holiday Season

Cebu Pacific sees 23% increase in December 2011 bookings

The Philippines’ largest national flag carrier, Cebu Pacific (PSE:CEB) increases flight frequencies to popular destinations such as Boracay and Hong Kong due to the peak holiday season.

CEB added a daily Manila-Hong Kong-Manila flight from December 21, 2011 to January 3, 2012, giving passengers a choice between a total of five daily flights to Hong Kong. Both Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Disneyland have special Christmas attractions for tourists, aside from the city’s Christmas shopping deals.

The airline also added daily flights from Manila to Kalibo (January 2, 2012) and from Cebu to Caticlan (December 21, 2011-January 4, 2012), to accommodate the influx of visitors to the island paradise of Boracay, one of Asia’s top beaches.

Meanwhile, those going home to visit family and friends will find CEB’s additional daily flights between December 21, 2011 and January 4, 2012 most convenient. One daily flight each is added on these routes: Cebu-Davao-Cebu, Davao-Iloilo-Davao, Manila-Cebu-Manila, and Manila-Davao-Manila.

One daily flight each is also added to CEB’s Manila-Tacloban-Manila and Manila-Dumaguete-Manila routes until further notice.

“CEB’s December 2011 bookings increased by 23% this year compared to last year, driven by a 27% increase in international bookings. We added these flights so more local and foreign passengers can take advantage of the holiday season and CEB’s low fares,” said CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.

“We expect peak travel to start next week, so we hope more CEB passengers can avail of our free web check-in and free seat selection through our website’s ‘Manage Bookings’ section. Passengers should also go to the airport earlier, in anticipation of traffic and airport security queues,” she added.

CEB’s free web check-in service is available on all Airbus flights, from 48 hours up to 4 hours before the flight. Guests who already checked in online only need to drop bags off or present travel documents (for international flights) at the web check-in counter 45 minutes before the flight. Those on domestic flights with no check-in luggage may proceed to the boarding gate at least 30 minutes before the flight.

For bookings and inquiries, guests can go to www.cebupacificair.com, or call the reservation hotlines (02) 7020-888 or (032) 230-8888. The latest seat sales and promos can also be found on CEB’s official Twitter and Facebook pages.

CEB currently operates 10 Airbus A319, 18 Airbus A320 and 8 ATR-72 500 aircraft. By the end of 2011, CEB will be operating a fleet of 37 aircraft – with an average age of less than 3.5 years – one of the youngest aircraft fleets in Asia. Between 2012 and 2021, Cebu Pacific will take delivery of 23 Airbus A320 and 30 Airbus A321neo aircraft orders, and 2 Airbus A320 aircraft on operating lease agreements.
